AQUEOUS coating is a water-based
product with a gloss finish. Aqueous coatings dry quickly,
while the sheet remains resistant to
scuffing and marring. The result is higher
gloss, faster drying and more efficient
processing. Although typically
designed to flood an entire sheet,
aqueous coatings can be spot applied.
Naturally, aqueous coatings are
environmentally friendly and tend not to
yellow over time.
VARNISH is a traditional method applied as a final clear layer. Varnish, an oleo-resinous coating, can be clear or tinted and applied as a flood or spot coat in a gloss or matte finish.
HEAT resistant specialty coatings
are composed of water-based or
liquid polymers. Heat resistant
coating should be used when your
application requires high
temperature adhesives, hot fill
packaging applications and for
in-mold labeling (IML). It is
available in high gloss or matte
finish and can be applied to
your choice of substrates.
UV curable coating is a liquid that polymerizes and hardens when exposed to UV light. Designed for superior scuff and chemical resistance, UV coatings can be applied as a flood coat or spot coat, and in both a gloss and matte finish on a variety of substrates. As an added benefit, UV is an environmentally friendly process.
